Harrah's, Asian Firm Bid on Casino
SINGAPORE As reported by the Associated Press: "American gambling giant Harrah's Entertainment and Singapore property firm Keppel Land Ltd. announced Monday that they would submit a joint bid for Singapore's second casino license.
"It had been unclear whether the team would file a disclosure statement by Monday's deadline, following reports in Singapore's Today newspaper that they had parted ways with U.S.-based architect Jon Jerde, who was supposed to be their chief designer for the Sentosa casino. The two companies have to date not appointed a local architect for the project, the paper added.
"...But in a joint statement Monday, the companies said they would develop a proposal for an integrated resort at Sentosa Island..."
