435 workers at casino in Calgary go on strike - Monday 12th of September 2005
Citing pay rates verging on minimum wage and "loud and smoky" working conditions, employees at a Calgary casino hit the picket line yesterday in a bid for a better deal. The 435 striking workers at ABS Calgary Casino, including dealers, food service workers and security staff, are members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
