Manager of Gambling Site Arrested for Theft - Wednesday 28th of December 2005
FARGO, North Dakota As reported by the Associated Press: "The manager of an off-track betting site in Fargo was arrested Monday after he confessed to stealing thousands of dollars from his business and then staging a burglary, police said.
"Jeremy Paul Markey, 28, reported a break-in and theft of a safe at the Winner's Circle, 2305 Main Ave., about 12:40 a.m. Monday, Sgt. Joel Vettel said.
"Officers investigated the report but grew suspicious when they didn't find evidence of a forced entry, Vettel said.
"He (Markey) eventually confessed and brought officers to a Dumpster where they found the safe, Vettel said..."
