Century Casinos Bets on Edmonton Casino - Monday 30th of January 2006
EDMONTON, Alberta – As reported by the Edmonton Journal: "Century Casinos Inc. will use its worldwide experience to serve high-end gamblers and entertainment audiences in northeast Edmonton, says the company's chief operating officer.
"'This will be an up-market casino with state-of-the-art facilities,' Christian Gernert told The Journal.
"Century recently received approval from the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission to acquire sole ownership of the Celebrations casino, dinner theatre and 28-room hotel complex now being built at 13103 Fort Rd.
"…This will be the 'first destination-style facility in Edmonton,' said a Century Casinos presentation to an investors conference in Austria on Jan. 20…"
