MONTREAL, Quebec – As reported by the CBC News: "A leaked government document is fueling debate over a proposed casino project in Montreal. The preliminary report suggests gambling addictions and crime would jump if the casino is relocated to the downtown neighbourhood of Pointe St. Charles.

"Community leader Jean Lalonde says he's happy the media got hold of the public security minister's report.

"…Public Security Minister Jacques Dupuis admits his report did outline these concerns. There were also worries about statistics that suggest that 30 per cent of problem gamblers could turn to crime to fund their addiction…"
