Montana Tribe Plans for Multiple Casinos - Thursday 27th of April 2006

LANDER, Montana – The Eastern Shoshone Tribe plans to build more than one gambling facility on the Wind River Indian Reservation after signing a compact with the state that allows it to operate casino games, according to tribal Business Council Chairman Ivan Posey.

"…The compact with the state grants the Shoshone Tribe the same authority over gaming on the reservation as the Northern Arapaho Tribe, which won a long court battle with the state last summer to earn the right to operate Las Vegas-style games."
