New Hampshire to Award Lottery Contract - Wednesday 3rd of May 2006

NEW YORK – Scientific Games (Nasdaq:SGMS) announced today that it has been notified by the New HampshireLottery of its intent to award a contract to supply instant tickets andrelated services to the Lottery. With the approval of the New HampshireLottery Commission and Governor and Executive Council the two-year contractwill begin on July 1, 2006, is valued at approximately $1.5 million peryear, and provides for two options to extend for two years each. ScientificGames already holds the contract for the New Hampshire Lottery's onlinelottery games.

"With this contract, the New Hampshire Lottery will become the 13thU.S. lottery for which we provide both the on-line and instant games," saidLorne Weil, Chairman and CEO of Scientific Games. "Instant tickets make animportant contribution to education in New Hampshire and we look forward toworking with the lottery to grow that contribution."

"The New Hampshire Lottery's instant sales are consistently rankedamong the top per capita lotteries. We look forward to continuing thisstrong sales trend through this new contract," said Rick Wisler, ExecutiveDirector of the New Hampshire Lottery.

The New Hampshire Lottery has contributed more than $1 billion toeducation since it became the first American state lottery in modern timesback in 1964. In 2005, more than $69 million was transferred to the stateeducation trust fund.
