IBM Launches Casino Products - Saturday 6th of May 2006

UNITED STATES – As reported by the Search400 News: "IBM and four of its software partners announced they are collaborating to launch a "Casino-in-a-box," an integrated hospitality and gaming suite of products for the System i.

"The partners, established vendors in the casino industry (Agilysys, Bally Technologies, InfoGenesis, SSA Global) are offering software that spans the board. Hospitality and gaming businesses traditionally require separate systems to handle property management, gaming, catering, point-of-sale, finances and human resources, creating a complex IT infrastructure. The suite is a good match for System i and its OS flexibility, according to Kevin Patterson, director of worldwide sales for System i.."
