World’s smallest independent state, Sealand, opens offshore casino - Tuesday 7th of August 2007

First official national casino opens online

The Principality of Sealand today announces the international opening of Sealandcasino.com, the first ever national online casino. Located six miles off the Eastern Shores of Great Britain, the world’s smallest state operates under its own jurisdiction and is offering all players tax-free winnings from the casino.

Sealand Casino’s opening coincides with its upcoming 40th year anniversary on 2nd September, celebrating its struggle for liberty and the day that Prince Roy of Sealand exerted state authority on the island.

The Principality of Sealand proclaims its own constitution and has adopted its own national flag, anthem, stamps as well as gold and silver coins denoting the Sealand Dollar. The Sealand Casino is the latest national treasure to celebrate The Principality’s freedom.

To commemorate the national casino opening, the Principality of Sealand is offering to match 100% of all first deposits or provide new players with a £100 sign-up bonus.

Sealand Casino features over 300 games to choose from, including fifteen progressive jackpots – currently rising to over £2m in value.

The Royal Family of Sealand’s high regard for the loyalty of its subjects is extended towards all Sealand Casino users, with players gaining Loyalty Points each time they place a bet. These can then be redeemed for credits in the casino or cashed out as required. Tax-free winnings will be privately transferred in any currency to any account in the world.

A Sealand Noble Title is available to those that choose to make a contribution to The Principality, bestowing loyal subjects with lord and ladyships.

The latest Principality of Sealand developments can be found at its official digital newspaper, Sealandnews.com.
