Blackjack Switch gets approval - Tuesday 16th of June 2009

Blackjack Switch, the blackjack variant in which players are dealt two hands and can swap the top two cards between hands, has been approved for trial in Britain by the Gambling Commission.

Two London casinos are trialling the game according to its inventor, Geoff Hall of Customised Casino Games. "The Golden Nugget and Casino at the Empire have done an excellent job in introducing the game to their players," said Hall. "Players are initially cautious about new games, but once they see the extra involvement that this game provides, then it creates a natural following." Other British casinos that are installing the game are The Mint, The Colony, and Palm Beach in London, Rubicon in Wolverhampton, Castle Hill in Dudley, and Aspers At The Gate in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

In the US, there are now over 50 installations of Blackjack Switch, according to Customised Casino Games. "One of the most recent developments in Las Vegas has seen the game go live in Wynn Resorts and its sister property Encore. Im very optimistic about the prospects of Blackjack Switch, but Im also working on new games and recently completed a game combining Blackjack with Bingo, called Bjingo," Hall said. "Im looking forward to introducing this exciting new concept into casinos."
