Government stresses overseas gambling not allowed - Sunday 12th of June 2005

At a press conference on May 29 officials from the Guangdong Public Security Department stressed that if any travel agency takes its tourists to visit overseas casinos; its operation license will be revoked.

He Guifu, the director of the security management bureau of the Guangdong Public Security Department said, Guangdong Tourism Bureau has released a notice to all tourism bureaus at different levels and travel agencies across the province that it is not allowed for any travel agency or its staff to arrange any activity related or involved in oversea gambling.

According to the regulation, if any travel company or its staff breaks the rule, the company's operation license and tour guide certificate will be revoked.
