Hearing Set for Casino Stabbing Suspect
CALIFORNIA/NEVADA As reported by the Tahoe Daily Tribune: "A preliminary hearing was set for February for Justin Ready, a 24-year-old from the Bay Area accused of stabbing two casino security guards in the neck last month.
"Ready's attorney, Dirk Manoukian, requested a preliminary hearing be set for Feb. 10, which would give him time to review evidence such as videotapes.
"Known as MC Fader in disc jockey circles, Ready was at Harrah's Lake Tahoe's Altitude Nightclub on Nov. 27 when he was escorted out by a casino guard for being on the stage, according to authorities.
"A scuffle ensued and Ready allegedly used a small knife to stab the two guards, Ahmet Albayrha and David Gontang, once each in the neck. While the two security guards were hospitalized, both were released shortly after the incident.
"...Manoukian previously stated his client acted in self-defense..."
