Company loses access to online betting server
The Kahnawake Mohawk reserve’s gaming commission has suspended a LaSalle company’s access to an online betting server on the territory after the firm’s owner was arrested last week in the RCMP’s anti-Mafia raids.
The company, WSC Management Inc., is owned by Marco de Pasquale, 29, a resident of 14th Ave. in LaSalle. The firm is listed as a software development company.
His twin brother, Matteo Rosario de Pasquale, is listed at the same address as the owner of Fin Tech, a computer technical-support business.
The de Pasquales were among 10 Montreal-area residents arrested Nov. 22 in connection with an alleged Mafia bookmaking scheme.
In a news release, Kahnawake Gaming Commission chairperson Alan Goodleaf said “the allegations are sufficiently serious and extraordinary that an immediate suspension of WSC’s access was necessary.
