150 JOBS AT CITY CASINO
Work is under way to create a new casino costing £7m and creating 150 jobs.
Stanley Leisures Nottingham Circus casino will open in the spring at The Cornerhouse in the city centre.
It will be the largest in the East Midlands and will feature an electronic gaming lounge as well as poker, blackjack and roulette tables.
There will be a restaurant with a glass-fronted kitchen so visitors can watch their food being cooked.
A card room, one of the largest in the UK, will host regular poker nights.
Next week, Nottingham City Council is expected to agree a no more casinos rule for the city.
The policy would block applications for more casinos in Nottingham for the next five years.
The meeting is at the Council House on Monday, starting at 2pm.
