Powerball Jackpot at $20 Million
UNITED STATES – The jackpot is on the move again. Eventhough the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, 390,492 players acrossthe nation won a total of more than $2.6 million in prizes in America'sfavorite Game.
Because no one correctly matched all six numbers the jackpot will grow toan estimated $20 million.
The cash option for the Saturday, February 25th drawing will be anestimated $9.2 million.
The numbers drawn Wednesday were 9, 23, 47, 53, 55 and the Powerball was39. The Power Play multiplier was 2.
Two lucky players in the states of North Dakota and New Mexico correctlymatched the 5 white numbers and won $200,000.
Twenty-one players matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won$10,000. Two additional winners of that prize category also wisely purchasedthe Power Play option that multiplied their win 2 times for a total of$20,000!
More than 65,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 2Wednesday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option forone dollar. With Power Play you multiply any winnings from 2-5 times, exceptfor the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to selectthat night's multiplier.
