Casino Move Not a Good Idea: Health Dept
MONTREAL, Canada As reported by CBC News: "Montreal's department of public health says the plan to move the Montreal Casino is unnacceptable in its current form.
"Loto-Québec wants to build a new casino to the Peel Basin, near some of Montreal's poorest neighbourhoods.
"The health department released an impact study Monday.
"...The health department is recommending the casino not be moved unless potential public health impacts are dealt with.
"Gambling experts predict building the casino closer to where people live would increase problem gambling, especially among those who cannot afford it..."
