Blue Chip Christening, Grand Opening on Tuesday
MICHIGAN CITY, Indiana – Christening and grand opening of the Blue Chip Casino Hotel's new casino vessel, Blue Chip.
Built on site, the boat, which took two years and cost $170 million to build, has the largest hull size of any casino vessel in the country as certified by the U.S. Coast Guard. Blue Chip accommodates more than 6,000 passengers and crew and features 65,000 square feet of gaming entertainment on one level. Blue Chip Casino Hotel employs more than 1,350 area residents.
Christening: Monday, January 30, 2006 2 p.m.
Employee rally follows at approximately 3 p.m.
Grand Opening: Tuesday, January 31, 2006 10 a.m.
