Keppel Still in Race for Sentosa Casino
SINGAPORE – As reported by the MarketWatch: Keppel Land Ltd. (K17.SG) Wednesday said it's still in the race to build a casino-resort on Singapore's Sentosa island, contrary to local media reports.
"'Our position is this: together with our partners, we are still reviewing our position. We are not out at this point,' Managing Director Kevin Wong said in response to query from Dow Jones Newswires.
"Keppel Land and partner Harrah's Entertainment Inc. (HET) have said they would bid for the two casino-resorts that Singapore legalized last year, in an attempt to boost tourism and help the city-state shed its straightlaced image.
