Police tracking syndicate selling counterfeit RM1 coins
POLICE is tracking a syndicate selling counterfeit RM1 coins after several gamblers at the casinos at Genting Highlands were caught with such coins since early this year.
In the latest case on Saturday, a 40-year-old man from Rawang was detained with 204 counterfiet RM1 coins as he was about to enter a casino about 1.30pm.
State Commercial Crime Department chief Deputy Superintendent Yahya Othman said it was the 25th of such case detected since January, which involves the total seizure of 21,063 counterfeit coins.
