Report: MGM Mirage, CapitaLand Lead Singapore Race
SINGAPORE As reported by the Dow Jones: "The consortium of MGM Mirage (MGM) and CapitaLand Ltd. (C31.SG) is leading the race to develop a casino in Singapore's downtown Marina Bay, DBS-Vickers Securities said in a recent report.
"'Based on our scorecard, we believe the MGM/CapitaLand is the leading contender for the Marina site achieving a score of 95%,' DBS-Vickers said in the report issued Friday.
"Besides the MGM-CapitaLand consortium, the other three groups vying to build the Marina Bay casino are a partnership between Harrah's Entertainment Inc. (HET) and Keppel Land. (K17.SG), Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS), and a tie-up involving Genting International (G13.SG) and Star Cruises Ltd. (S21.SG), which are both members of Malaysia's Genting Group…"
