GMB Members Working At Londons Gala Casinos Settle Pay Deal In Time For Christmas
Union members at Gala’s five London casinos have voted by 92% in favour of the latest company offer of 3.4%. Including other elements the over deal is worth 4.89% in total.
This puts an end to the long running dispute removing the threat of Industrial action at Christmas. This is a victory for common sense and hopefully paves the way to better employer / employee relations based on mutual respect. The backdated increases should be in time for Christmas and will be considerable for many of our members
Gala invited mediation with ACAS after GMB members in Londons five Gala casinos, voted in a consultation ballot, by almost 90% to take industrial action in the run up to Christmas if an improved offer was not forthcoming.
Mick Ainsley, GMB Organiser said, "GMB recommended this offer to our members and they have accepted it."
